Sara B. O’Leary

Sara B. O’Leary has practiced real estate law in New Bedford since 1985, and has been associated with the law firm of Sullivan, Williams & Quintin, now known as Williams, Quintin & O’Leary since 1995.  Her areas of expertise include complex real estate title searches and commercial real estate closings.  Sara is a Dartmouth native, graduating from Dartmouth High School and Colby College in Waterville, Maine, receiving her BA degree in English literature with Cum Laude honors.  After graduating from college, she moved to New York City, and became a paralegal with the law firm of Cravath, Swaine and Moore.  She moved to Washington, D.C., and obtained her Juris Doctor degree from George Washington University Law School in 1984.

Sara is a member of the New Bedford Bar Association and the Real Estate Bar Association of Massachusetts (REBA).  She is a licensed real estate broker, and is an approved agent for several national title insurance companies.  In 1991, she was appointed to the position of Massachusetts Land Court Title Examiner. 

Having grown up in the area, and having practiced law in New Bedford for 37 years, Sara has established a network of professional contacts and grateful clients.  She is always available to give her advice and compassionate counsel to her clients and many other local attorneys who reach out to her.

Sara lives in South Dartmouth with her two chocolate Labrador Retrievers.  When she is not working, she spends her time on home improvement projects, cooking, crafting and hiking with her dogs.  She is happiest spending time with her daughter, Molly, her son-in-law, John, and her two grandchildren, Charlie and Graham.
